Artist Solána Rowe, professionally known as SZA, gained major traction through the 2017 release of her album, “Ctrl.” She’s been nominated for many awards and has won a Grammy for her collaboration with artist Doja Cat on the song “Kiss Me More” in 2021.

Last school year, the Lord Mayor of Dublin invited the Pride of Owasso to march and perform in the Saint Patrick’s Day Festival Parade. Fine Arts director Chris Barber decided instead to take the entirety of the department for the week-long adventure in Ireland.

In the world of sports, being a first year head coach is an infamously difficult job. The adversity lies in the pressure to perform and implement a successful system in such a short time frame. But for the Lady Rams Basketball team, first year head coach Kendall Standridge was up to the task.

As the cold notes of Winter come to a close, the Owasso Animal Shelter does their best to get animals off the street and into warm homes. When you first enter the shelter, you’re met with a sweet Golden Retriever named Sunny, and a welcoming smile from Kasey Greene. 

It’s no secret that the Harry Potter games of the past have been bad, but the newest addition to the franchise didn’t disappoint. Avalanche Software’s “Hogwarts Legacy” is a legacy game in its truest form, taking place in a pre-Potter Hogwarts in the 1800s.

The Owasso High School Fine Arts classes have been in preparation for over a year now for their trip to Ireland. Now only a mere two weeks away, the OHS Band, Choir, Theatre and Visual Art students and directors have been putting in the work to make these trips happen.

Country icon Shania Twain, with best-selling records “Man! I Feel Like A Woman” and “You’re Still the One” (as well as many more), recently released her first album since 2017. “Queen of Me” is a more modern-pop album made up of metaphors and allusions to current pop culture. Science fiction and fantasy author Scott Reintgen visited the OHS west campus on Feb. 8 to discuss his books and comment on the writing process through an interactive Q&A session. Reintgen visits schools around the country to share his writing experience in hopes of inspiring students.

The Owasso Rampage hosted its second February poetry contest since 2022’s “Bittersweet Sonnets” Valentine’s Poetry competition. This year, the theme was broadened to include more ideas and open more opportunities for creativity: “What does February mean to you?”

The Rams started their year a measly 1-4, a rough start to say the least. Since then, however, they have won 9 straight games and lost a very close game to a talented Bixby team. They now sit at 9-5 with their sights set on keeping their momentum well into the post-season. 

Every school year from January to April, the junior and senior girls of Owasso High School have a very exciting, though stressful, time choosing the statement garment they will grace the dance floor with on prom night.

Last week, hard work and passion flooded the stage as students showcased their artistic abilities at Owasso High School’s annual talent show.

“The Last of Us,” a video game originally released worldwide on June 14, 2013, has recently seen a revival on screen with the HBO show, “The Last of Us”. Due to its immersive storytelling, complex characters and immersive graphics for its time, it has widely been known as one of the best single-player story games ever released.
