Artist Solána Rowe, professionally known as SZA, gained major traction through the 2017 release of her album, “Ctrl.” She’s been nominated for many awards and has won a Grammy for her collaboration with artist Doja Cat on the song “Kiss Me More” in 2021.

Owasso Fine Arts in the Emerald Isles
Last school year, the Lord Mayor of Dublin invited the Pride of Owasso to march and perform in the Saint Patrick’s Day Festival Parade. Fine Arts director Chris Barber decided instead to take the entirety of the department for the week-long adventure in Ireland.

Shania Twain: “Queen of Me”
Country icon Shania Twain, with best-selling records “Man! I Feel Like A Woman” and “You’re Still the One” (as well as many more), recently released her first album since 2017. “Queen of Me” is a more modern-pop album made up of metaphors and allusions to current pop culture. Scott Reintgen visits Owasso High School
Science fiction and fantasy author Scott Reintgen visited the OHS west campus on Feb. 8 to discuss his books and comment on the writing process through an interactive Q&A session. Reintgen visits schools around the country to share his writing experience in hopes of inspiring students.

February “Celebration of Poetry” winners
The Owasso Rampage hosted its second February poetry contest since 2022’s “Bittersweet Sonnets” Valentine’s Poetry competition. This year, the theme was broadened to include more ideas and open more opportunities for creativity: “What does February mean to you?”
