Owasso’s Sushi

The East-Asian dish sushi has become increasingly popular in our western culture, especially here in Owasso. There are many different restaurants and stores available to find something enjoyable for any individual. Sushi has many variations when it comes to ingredients, presentation and preparation.
Owasso’s Asiana Express has a large menu for both sushi lovers and others that come for traditional Chinese food. Everything is made fresh to order, and the employees are incredibly kind and helpful when it comes to trying new things. Their Tokyo Roll is my personal favorite; its contents are shrimp tempura, cucumber, tobiko, rice and spicy tuna.
Another great place to come in and grab sushi would be Sprouts. They have most of their rolls on sale every Wednesday for $5.00. They make the sushi directly at the stand and put it into their display fridge. They have plenty of options when it comes to the proteins, selection and presentation. One item they have that other sushi restaurants do not typically offer is a poke bowl, which is essentially the contents of a sushi roll in the form of a salad. Another great option they offer is a plate of multiple rolls with various kinds of fish and toppings.
Akira offers an enjoyable dine-in experience with other great items on the menu that are not sushi. The dine-in experience is always pleasant, and the display of the rolls is very neat. My go-to items at Akira are their Gyoza pork dumplings and the Caterpillar Roll, which has avocado, tobiko, barbequed eel and cucumber.
Hapa Japanese Cuisine is another great place to grab some tasty sushi. They offer a variety of dishes that are not limited to sushi. One of my favorite rolls to get at Hapa is their Dragon Roll, which has imitation crab tempura, cream cheese, cucumber, layered eel, avocado, sesame seeds, hot sauce and eel sauce. It is an intricate roll that never disappoints.
The many different sushi restaurants in Owasso provide an array of options to choose from. With different price ranges and levels of intricacy, there’s an option to suit the needs of any customer. Visit one of these restaurants near you and try something new!
