Rams Varsity Cheer, eighth win at state!
Owasso’s Varsity Cheer squad won first at the state competition on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2022. The competition was held at Union High School, and the pressure on the competing teams was definitely on. With a new competitive division and a new routine, the cheerleaders had their work cut out for them and slayed the game regardless.

Jentri Sinor is the newest addition to the Owasso Rams Athletics staff, and she offers expertise in a unique side of the world of sports: nutrition. As a sports nutritionist, she looks to inform and give athletes techniques on proper nutrition, a key part of training. Her compassion for the athletes and passion for nutrition showed early in her search for a career.

Owasso Varsity Cheer: A stunted start to the season
With the start of the Owasso Rams football season comes high hopes and even higher pom-poms. Last Saturday, Owasso High School’s Varsity Cheer team made their way to Broken Arrow High School to compete in Regionals, their first competition of the year.
High school: beginnings and ends
High schoolers are known for their profound and intricate expressions of the things they love and hate. The nonchalant manner in which Princeton Xiong, the freshman to whom the quote belongs, conveyed himself seemed to radiate a mindset that’s commonly found amongst many freshmen regarding the ups and downs of high school.
Atalie Sherman: making the AP test look easy
Atalie Sherman is a junior at Owasso High School who overcame many challenges during the academic year and scored a five on the AP European test. Moreover, Sherman discovered in August that she had won the Indigenous Recognition Award for her scores.
Owasso Football: only the beginning
Owasso’s Varsity Football team hasn’t exactly had the most epic start to their 2022-23 season. With quite a few seniors sitting out due to injuries, the season had a rough start by playing the highest-ranked team in the state, Bixby. Unexpectedly, another senior and major leader on the team, Cole Adams, returned to the field after halftime, not suited up, apparently injured.

Constant construction, busy restaurants, Friday night football — Owasso seems like a happening town. Owasso, Oklahoma has over 40,000 citizens, and it is rapidly growing with more people, new ideas and different cultures meeting together. With all of its progress, one wonders, “Was Owasso always like this?”
Mrs. Abuelaileh: Sudoku enthusiast and supernerd
Mrs. Abuelaileh is an Intermediate Algebra and Algebra I teacher who displays kindness and compassion for all of those around her. She comes back this school year for her 3rd year of teaching but her 12th year at Owasso.
The Mr. Owasso pageant is rocking out!
The entire student body gets hyped for the Mr. Owasso show each year, and the 2022 pageant was no different. The Owasso Pom Squad runs the annual show to raise money for their program, and it’s something to look forward to in the fall for many students!
Owasso volleyball: starting off strong
The Owasso Lady Rams volleyball team has had a successful season so far this year. Last week they played in the Owasso Tournament and won, which boosted their confidence for the upcoming games this season.
