Goodbye Class of ‘23
The Class of 2023 has brought many amazing people through the doors of OHS, though one of many hard goodbyes this year is to our Senior Writing Staff. Our six seniors have made the journalism class what it is: a safe, creative, open and fun class.
Danner McGarrah’s journey through music
Danner McGarrah is a senior who is new to Owasso Public Schools. McGarrah has been to three different high schools, choosing Owasso due to its very successful music program. McGarrah has been in choir since third grade, is a five-year OkMEA All-State medalist, a six-year All-District medalist and also performed in the prestigious OkCDA All-State High School Jazz Choir this year.
Owasso Girls Golf
The Owasso girls' golf team has started off their season with success thanks to Coach Johnson. With two second-place finishes at both their home tournament and at the region preview, Coach Alexis Johnson has high hopes for Regionals and State.
Smashed Thumb Greenhouse
The Smashed Thumb Greenhouse, located off 116 St. N and Yale right before Highway 75, has an incredible story of origin. Tracie Poland, the owner of the greenhouse, was 38 years old when she threw rose moss out into her yard after she decided a garden would brighten up her house.
Seniors Slay the Day
Friday, April 21 proved to be a very busy day for the seniors of Owasso High School. There were three separate events going on, and students were out of class from first hour all the way until sixth hour. Regardless, it was a lovely time filled with sentimental camaraderie and nostalgia.
