Owasso FFA: The Year of an All Girls Officer Team

A year like none other, fit for an Owasso FFA (Future Farmers of America) Officer team like none other. The FFA Officer team is an all girls team and they plan to work together to prove to all that they are capable of serving their chapter just as good as any other officer team has before them.
With an all girls team they are not worried with what this year will bring. They are ready to take any problem head on in order to serve their chapter and achieve great things.
President Averee Murray, a senior, said, “There is a give and take when there is an all girls team... Although we are a chapter team and there are six of us, we 100% are open to opinions and are always asking what the members want and how they want us to serve them. On top of that, we have two male Ag teachers so they are able to put in the dynamics and throw in ideas from another side or spectrum that we may not see.”
This year the Owasso FFA Chapter has great expectations for their leaders, themselves, and the year overall.
“I expect our girls to be role models for everyone in our chapter to set the precedence of success, of their work ethic, how they treat others and kindness. I just want them to be the compassionate leaders that I know they can [be],” Murray said,
“I don't think that is going to be any problem or dilemma with having an all girls team, I think we will achieve the same thing we have done in the past if not even more.” Murray continued.
As the year goes on The Owasso FFA Officer team proceeds to seek out to help their members.
The Owasso FFA Officer team serves their Chapter by encouraging and motivating their members to work their hardest in everything they do.
Murray explains, “Our chapter has the ability of being a huge part of the FFA association of the National FFA association and just of our community having community service weather that is going and volunteering at the food bank in Tulsa or donating canned goods. Our leadership of the Officer team, I believe, will transpire into our members of our Chapter.”
The Owasso FFA Officer team is excited for this extraordinary year. They are not only ready to serve their chapter members, but they are also ready to help their community.
