Future Tech Housed in Our Own High School
By Shreya Rohatgi
Owasso High School is home to more than just academic progress, innovative teaching, and a wonderful staff. Along with these advancements, our East campus library has many new gadgets and technology available to our students.
The more innovative part of the library is called the Idea Lab, an independent facility where students can stop by and be creative. Not only can students draw, paint, and sew at the art station, but they can also experience the more hands-on technology. From the confectionery delights of Kaffe Libro, Mrs. Gallagher has been able to purchase a laser cutter, 3D printer, sound mixer, VR headsets, and so much more!
We even have a green screen and camera equipment to record videos. Along with all these devices, there are how-to books galore, concerned with the operation of the machinery in a user-friendly manner. Some hours even have an Idea Lab student aid that can help you sort out any problems you might be having, so check in with Mrs. Gallagher if you’d like to meet with one!
Our East campus library has both an expansive collection of literary works and some of the most modern technological advancements. Stop by the library either before or after school, or even during lunch to witness the diverse stations in the Idea Lab!
