Maggie Snap is Owasso’s up-and-coming celebrity. She has always loved the 80s and is working hard in her band to make her rockstar dreams come true. Practicing for countless hours, Snap has started to make her presence in Oklahoma's music scene. 

Owasso students in the Owasso Philanthropy Committee are taking initiative to touch the lives of kids in our community. The organization donates countless hours around the school to spread awareness of amazing causes in which people can invest their time.

One of Owasso’s newest additions, Cava, has been added to the array of eateries in the area. Cava offers a unique and refreshing menu amongst many other fast foods, however how it fares taste wise is yet to be determined.

Along 86th street of Owasso houses a small strip mall of shops– including Lacaboba tea house. Home to over 100 different menu items, Lacaboba brings a sense of uniqueness, vast variety and a warm environment to the Owasso community.

This year, Owasso High School’s Speech and Debate team hosted their annual Owasso Invitational Debate tournament, with over six hundred entries from other schools to compete. Despite this large competition, things ran smoothly— until they didn’t. 

Owasso High School is eager to perfect the final touches of this semester’s musical, “Little Shop of Horrors.” Coinciding with the musical, the OHS arts wing has announced the details for their fifth annual, district-wide art contest.

Learning in song and cooperation, choir members who attended All-State shared a formative experience that is sure to influence the department for years to come.

If you have a passion for painting, sculpting or drawing outside of school, then you might want to consider joining the OHS Art Club. The art club sponsors many projects, whether it be for the club, for the school or even the art show at the end of the year.

During this cold winter, it can be difficult not to complain about the freezing temperatures, though we must stop and think about those who can’t afford a jacket or don’t have shelter from the cold.
