Holiday Baking Made Easy - Homemade Cheesecake Recipe
By Katie McEldowney
Today, I am going to share my homemade Cheesecake recipe with you lovely readers! I’ll go through step by step on what to do, and there will be photos so you guys can make sure you’re doing everything correctly! Today I’ll be showing you how to make two types of cheesecake, blueberry and cherry. Let’s start with blueberry! The ingredients you’ll need for this recipe are:
1 cup of sugar
2 packages of cream cheese
1 cup of blueberries (in a small pot on the stove, with ⅔ of a cup of sugar)
2 Teaspoons of Vanilla extract
And half a tub of cool whip (a small tub)
1 store bought graham cracker crust
To start, you put the cup of blueberries in a small pot, with ⅔ of a cup of sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla, then turn the stove on medium heat. You’ll slowly stir it, the sugar will dissolve, and you’ll want to crush a few of the blueberries as you stir. Your end result will look like this:
After the blueberries look like this, turn the stove off, and set them to the side to cool. Next you’ll pull out a bowl, and put 2 packages of cream cheese in the bowl, 1 cup of sugar, and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract:
You’ll then slowly mix the ingredients together until you get this in your bowl:
Then add in half a tub of cool whip, and slowly fold into your cream cheese mixture. After that is done, you’ll take your blueberries and add them to your mixture:
Again, mix it together.
Afterwards, you’ll pour the cream cheese into the crust and smooth it over. You’ll take any of your remaining blueberries and put them on top, along with any leftover juice. Add some sprinkles and you’re done!
Now onto our cherry cheesecake, which has essentially the same ingredients, but here is what you’ll need:
2 packages of cream cheese
1 cup of sugar
2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
Half a tub of cool whip
1 store bought graham cracker crust
And some decorative frosting
To start, add in two packages of cream cheese, 1 cup of sugar, and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract, and mix them together until it looks like this:
Then add in half a tub of cool whip, and fold it in with your cream cheese mixture.
Then you’re going to put a layer of cream cheese in the bottom of your pie crust, then do a layer of cherries like this:
Then you take the last of the cream cheese and make a final layer, with your mix. Finally, since Christmas is fast approaching, we’re going to decorate the top of our cheesecake with a Christmas tree. Honestly, it’s super simple!
And tada, you’re done!
Finally, simply set your cheesecakes in the fridge, set for 2 to 3 hours, and they’re ready to serve!
