Frozen 2: Review
By Katie McEldowney
Hello lovely readers! So, it's not a stretch to say that we've all seen Frozen 2.
Released to theaters not too long ago, like many of you, I have been eagerly awaiting its arrival— and I'm a senior in high school!
Now, I know what you're thinking: “If we're in high school, why would we even bother to go see Frozen 2? That's for little kids.”
Well, I don't know about you guys, but when Frozen 1 came out, I was in 7th grade! Can you believe that? 7th grade and it’s a part of my childhood; a thing that I’ve been waiting to see finished since 2013! What's wrong with going and making memories with Frozen 2 if we're simply kicking back to our childhood?
Frozen 2 is rated PG, which is really odd for Disney. I will NOT be giving any spoilers, but I can still tell you this:
Frozen 2 has a whole other level of psychological explanations. It talks about growing up, dealing with change, depression and grief, the struggles of relationships. In this film, Disney does a phenomenal job in bringing up real life issues and explaining them in a way that children can process, so it inevitably teaches the new generation that things will not always be easy. It teaches that giving up seems like the best option and overcoming struggles is going to be difficult, but in the end, it will be worth it because we have the remarkable ability to grow.
Frozen 2 is in theaters now, and, regardless of your age, I highly recommend going to watch it! It makes for the perfect date night, family time, or just a night out with friends!
