Beach the Bulldogs: Photos from Owasso’s Win Against Fayetteville

The Owasso Rams Student Section said, “Beach the Bulldogs,” and they did just that. The Owasso Rams football team is starting off their season strong. On Friday, September 3, the game against Fayetteville ended at 48-42 with the Owasso Rams on top.
The student section went wild as the game’s first points were scored with a touchdown by Emery Neely and an extra point by Jake Adams. The Rams secured their lead throughout the first half of the game, pulling off many big plays, including an impressive touchdown reception by wide receiver Cole Adams in the second quarter. By this point, the halftime score was 28-9 with Owasso ahead.

The stands were entertained with an impressive halftime show put on by the Owasso Rams Spirit Crew, Band, Color Guard, Pom and Cheer, who all had amazing performances.
Olivia Voth, a member of the Owasso Color Guard, exclaims, “It was an amazing performance, not just for color guard, but for band as well. No one dropped flags, and the band was always in formation. The directors said that it was one of the best first runs the Pride of Owasso has ever had.”
As the third-quarter carried on, the Fayetteville bulldogs started to gain ground, but Adams stopped the bulldogs in their tracks with an incredible catch into the end zone bringing the score to 41-29 at the end of the quarter. Going into the fourth-quarter, the Bulldogs stayed close on their heels, but the Owasso Rams pushed to stay ahead as Fayetteville was never far behind.
Owasso running back Evan Boyd explains, “We were a little disappointed in letting them come back like they did, but glad the team and I could pull through and get the win.”
When it was all over, the fans and the Owasso Rams student section were proud of their football players, once again ending with a win.
