5 Ways to Give Back this Holiday Season
By Kai Neubeurger
If you have an interest in giving back this holiday season, here’s 5 good ways to do that around town.
Luxe Fitness is collecting toys until December 3rd for the 97.5 radio station’s “Big Mad Morning Show”— a 28 hour toy drive. If you have any interest in donating, the 12-16 year old girls typically get the least donations, so consider getting something for that age group.
Toys For Tots is a program put on through Rejoice Church this year on December 14th. You can donate toys for ages 0-12 at any Owasso Rejoice Church or any of the boxes you see around town!
You know the people standing about popular buildings ringing bells? They are actually raising money for the Salvation Army. By donating, you are providing help with all the things listed below. For more information on ways to donate you can go to their website at https://satruck.org/
Adult Rehabilitation
Veterans Affairs Services
Prison Ministries

Neighbors in Need is a non profit that helps feed the hungry in our area. Although their facility isn’t currently open due to their move to the Red Bud District, you can still donate online at https://neighborsinneed.help/take-action
They are also doing Christmas baskets! If you’d like to participate, pick up a tag from Waterstone Cleaners and return the tag with the item by Dec. 11th!
On December 10th from 5:30-7:00pm, the Kendra Scott fundraiser will be in full swing. Raising money for the Oklahoma Hemophilia Foundation, they’ve begun with jewelry as their main form of revenue. To learn more, go to their FaceBook page Kendra Scott.
