3 Kids and a Cake comes to Owasso!

By Olivia Voth

Despite Owasso’s myriad of various fried chicken restaurants, Owasso finds itself with an underwhelming amount of bakeries. Luckily, 3 Kids and A Cake (also known as 3KAC) opened an Owasso Location on 76th street on Oct. 26, 2022. With a wide selection of confectioneries and a welcoming and upbeat atmosphere, the woman-owned and family-operated business has quickly drawn attention from the locals.

The bakery is owned and operated by Anna Richardson and her family, who are active in the Owasso community, with her son being a student at Owasso High School. The original restaurant and bakery location known as “The Eatery”  in Bartlesville was started by Annie Saltsman, who started her baking business at home right here in Owasso in 2016, opening her Bartlesville location in 2018. Now with two storefronts, this small business is certainly on the rise, but the craft and detail in each individual treat keeps customers coming back day after day.

“Our most popular items are by far our bakery cookies! We have a large selection of cookies!” chimes Richardson. With National Cookie Day being Dec. 4, 3KAC Owasso is certainly bound to get good business.

This bakery has proven to be the perfect spot for an afternoon with friends and loved ones to share addicting pastries with a cozy and chic atmosphere. The friendly staff makes conversation as a customer selects their daily vice, and the pink neon sign on the wall is more than picturesque. This bakery fulfills your social and sweet cravings in one, making any day better by tenfold.

“One of my favorite things is our sign that’s been a hit for selfies that says ‘Feed me cookies and tell me I’m pretty!” Richardson added.

Businesses such as 3KAC bring a wonderful sense of community to Owasso. The bakery participated in the “Rams Vote!” campaign by offering a free cookie to anyone who came in with their “I voted!” sticker. Donations to local groups and events are frequent for the company, such as the Cross Country Hog Jog. Generously giving to the community and growing the business is what this bakery is all about.

“Just having a happy community in the store fills my cup. We want to be part of this community and help create a space for …conversation and celebrate Owasso,” Richardson notes.

From drip coffees to breakfast pastries and holiday pies to grab-n-go cakes, there are many varying choices to satisfy any sweet-tooth craving at 3 Kids and A Cake in Owasso. This bakery is sure to feed the community and its people. With wholesome values and hard work, the Rams can stay sugar-high.
