Playlists for Obscure Vibes

By Kai Neuberger

Do you ever want to feel like you’re running through the woods or going on a big city vacation from the comfort of your own bed? Maybe just some ambiance to go with the book you're reading or maybe you just need a playlist to go with your situational activity? Well, look no further because here are four playlists to transport you into another location.

1. “Songs of the Gods.” A playlist to make you feel as though you're dancing barefoot in a field with no cares in the world. Plus, if you listen carefully enough, the songs create a story. 10/10 would recommend reading the book Scythe by Neal Shusterman while listening to this playlist. It was a visceral experience.

2. “Public Piano, in a Subway Station.” We’ve all heard of the public pianos on the streets of big cities whether it’s from the news, social media or TV. However, if you’re looking for a more relaxed vibe while you’re waiting around, say, for a train, here it is.

3. “Determined Running Through the Rain” It’s raining, you don’t know where to go, but you know what you need to do. So, you’re running through the woods finding where it is with determination. However, something is following up close behind you and you can feel it closing in until you feel its breath on the back of your neck.

4. “Biking Through Downtown.” Riding down a busy downtown street on a bike with flowers in the basket. It works for driving downtown or even walking as well, but not as potent. This can for sure be confirmed as I was completely in awe of my playlist while downtown recently.

So, there you are. Four playlists for obscure vibes, hand crafted by yours truly. Whether you just need some good background music, are looking for an escape or you’re actually performing these activities, these playlists will have your back.
